Think out of the box, then …

By all means, think out of the box.
It’s the best way to expand and realise new ideas;
But consider after that…
What do you want to put back into the box,
Considering all constraints, and possible work-arounds and strategies.

I am disturbed by innovationists who keep asking us too think out of the box, and then not bring us back to reality.  The real world is such that we have constraints – budgets are not free-flow, resources are not FOC (meaning, free-of-charge), time is a limited commodity, ideas may sometimes be too absurd, given the culture and settings of the environment.
