Think big, start small

They say, “Think big, start small… then slowly expand”
But I would like to add on –
Think big, start small;
But always check and make sure,
That the small pieces
Will eventually fit into the entire picture of a thousand-piece puzzle.

This quote came about as I was advising my boss three years ago – that when we pushed our counterparts to move into blended learning (vis-vis elearning), we should think big but start small… and then progressively build it up.  However, it would be important to ensure that the small pieces fit well into the big picture, eventually.
